From historic Mediterranean Revival architecture to a thriving cultural scene, Coral Gables is truly the City Beautiful. Planned in the 1920s by visionary developer George Merrick, Coral Gables is situated a few miles southwest of Downtown Miami. Home to the historic Biltmore Hotel, Coral Gables is famous for its shops and cafes along Miracle Mile as well as outdoor wonders such as the Venetian Pool, a coral rock quarry and natural aquifer for swimming, and Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, an 83-acre wonderland of tropical plants and trees near Biscayne Bay.

Coral Gables offers a dynamic cultural scene anchored by longstanding institutions such as Actors' Playhouse at Miracle Theatre, which stages Broadway-caliber shows and local productions in an intimate setting, and GableStage at The Biltmore, which presents cutting-edge plays. The Coral Gables Museum focuses on architecture, design and urban planning, and hosts popular community events.

Caffe Abbracci, founded in 1989 by Venice native Nino Pernetti, is a Coral Gables institution. The clubby dining room sets the scene for traditional Italian comfort food.
